Chanticleer Hill sits atop the hill of beautiful Harbour Island, Bahamas. It's less than a minute from the dock, doors away from the finest dining and within crawling distance from "Valentines Marina.

The symbol for Eleuthera is the 'pineapple', but you will quickly see that the symbol for Harbour Island should be the 'rooster'. They are wild and run free. Artists depict them on everything, and you can even buy a bumper sticker saying "Take a rooster to Eleuthera". To follow suit, our house is named Chanticleer Hill after a rooster from old English stories. The locals call it "The Rooster House".

If you can think of it, you can probably find it or do it in Harbour Island. Although small and quaint, you will find the finest dining in The Bahamas, the best deli and gourmet store, and casual dining overlooking the harbour at The Harbour Lounge.
Want to dive a wreck, snorkel a reef, deep sea fish, bone fish, rent a boat or a bike, discover the Preacher's Cave in Eleuthera, look through the Art galleries, nap on the porch, or sit on the pink sand beaches? Take your pick; it's here in Harbour Island.
While walking the streets of the island or renting a golf cart, formal attire consists of a beach wrap and flip-flops. This is the place to blend in, mingle with the rich and famous and not even know it. So sit back, pour yourself a cool one and relax like you never have done before!
